The Solution

A start-up spirit disruptor was looking for bold storytelling to help launch a new yuzu lemon gin. It needed to be big to rise up and lay claim to the throne. The result: Yuzilla a refreshing gin monster. Part myth part Japanese Kaiju Yuzilla was never going to be contained. A giant with a penchant for yuzu lemon executed with brutal precision and a hint of humour.

LANGUAGE

It was essential to lean into the storied DNA of Yuzilla playing to the style and technique of the Kaiju tradition allowing audiences to imagine the sheer scale of the monster contained within.

TONE

To deliver cues of quality the design look and feel all intentionally played on Asian composition and sensibility giving us the room we needed to play with humour and silliness.

IRREVERANCE

Ultimately Yuzilla is so much bigger than the bottle. The unapologetic size of the story meant that it could take on a life of its own telling a tale of a monster without ever showing it.
